Question:
Why do I get "File Open Failed" or "Access Violation" errors on the log?
Answer:
In most cases our program can back up open files, however some system files (Windows NT/200/XP) and possibly some application files may cause a sharing violation. The sharing violation error basically indicates that the file could not be accessed at the time it was being backed up or when trying to compare the file. The main purpose for File Level backup is to backup Data files. For system and application files we would highly recommend using teh Image Level backup. (4-28-03)
