FileCD™ 3.0 is a full-featured packet writing utility. Using FileCD
and a supported CD/DVD Recorder, you can copy your data files to CD/RW or
DVD/RW discs for transfer or archival purposes.
The familiar Windows
interface makes copying your data files with FileCD as easy as pointing
and clicking a mouse. Simply drag and drop any file/folder from your source
hard disk to the FileCD window or simply right mouse click the file/folder
and use the "Send To" option to select FileCD and in minutes you
will have a disc containing your important data files.
Flexibility
The flexibility of FileCD enables you to choose ISO or UDF formatting depending on your needs.
FileCD takes the advantages of ISO 9660, UDF, and Packet Writing technologies to deliver discs
readable with today and tomorrow's operating systems. FileCD allows you to change formats between
ISO 9660 and UDF easily using quick format. FileCD gives you the best of both worlds, universal
compatibility and extreme interchangeability all from one program.
ISO 9660
Currently, the most popular widely supported disc file system format is ISO 9660. Discs written
in ISO 9660 format can be read from ISO 9660 compatible operating systems without any additional
drivers. Most, if not all, operating systems today are ISO 9660 compatible.
UDF 1.5
For users of other packet writing software, FileCD includes compatibility with the UDF 1.5
standard (Universal Disk Format) used in many popular packet writers.
